The Events feature allows you as an organisation admin and community admin to schedule a team get-together, offline training or other event. This event becomes visible to employees on the calendar within the app and even gets its own timeline and guest list (which you can export). Check out our tutorial underneath to learn how to manage and create these events:

You can create an event in two ways; through the organisation dashboard (only organisation admin) or from within a community. We'll start by explaining how this works in the organisation dashboard. On the left side you can find a new button as you can see in the red outline below. Once you click on this, it will send you to the dashboard to manage the events. You can find upcoming, cancelled and past events here. Here you can also find concepts you would like to adjust later.

Click on '+ Create Event' at the top right of the screen and you will be taken to the screen below where you can give the new event a start date, end date, starting time, end time, name, location and description. You can also add a possible URL/weblink for example, for a video call.

Once you scroll down this screen, you have the option to choose a photo from the 'Unsplash' photo library if you don't have any inspiration or suitable photo in your own files. Once the details above have been filled in, you can select the target group (Public). This function works just like the other functions for an organization message or onboarding course.

In the target group selection you can add employees based on the following criteria (see image above); name, language, days of employment, days before date out of employment and of course community or function.

In this case, we have chosen to apply a filter for the community 'Amsterdam' only, so that everyone who is in it gets a notification on the timeline and can find the event in the app behind the 'more' button and in the calendar.

Afterwards, you can adjust the settings for this event. Here you can indicate whether it has an unlimited number of possible guests or limited. You can specify the maximum number of guests on the right side of the screen. You can also hide the guest list (this is visible to all employees in the target group by default) and choose whether you want only administrators to be able to post in the timeline of the event. You can also set a deadline for registration. This date can be specified on the right side of the screen.

Once the event has been created, you will see the following display. Here you can also see multiple created events in the future.

After the event is created, all employees in the target group will receive a message on their timeline, the same as with an announcement of a new onboarding course, E-Learning or survey. In addition, everyone will see a notification.

Then you can click on the notification and it will send you to the event on your mobile. Here, employees can indicate whether they will attend or not. They can also manage this on the web version of Oneteam.
