If you see the activity going down in the app, there are several ways to re-activate your employees within the app. In this article, we will provide some examples.

First of all, what do you see as low activity and engagement? Of course, this is different for every organization. Some organizations will have seasonal activities, where others, for example, see a lot of activity, especially on the weekends. Overall, organizations working with Oneteam have an average adoption rate above 90%, who are also active in the app on a weekly basis. However, this percentage is mostly reached a month after the launch. A successful launch depends on a successful launch plan.

A successful launch where employees are well informed about what is changing for them, and where the benefits of Oneteam are quickly apparent, can ensure an adoption rate like the one below:

Herein, of course, it is also important to maintain engagement after the launch of Oneteam. An organization with statistics like the above uses the following tips:

Examples and tips

  • Set a good example for yourself by posting every week. We see that videos and photos work very well to improve interaction.

  • Ask questions and respond to comments.

  • Place polls.

  • Notify your team of accomplishments and share important information.

  • Celebrate successes and thank them for their contribution.

  • Encourage your team to sign up as soon as possible, also do not share any information in other communication channels like email, newsletters, and/or Facebook/WhatsApp.

  • Check who has not signed in yet, send another invitation from the organization dashboard and ask why they did not sign in yet.

  • Motivate your colleagues to post and designate an “ambassador” to increase interaction.

  • Schedule messages for Monday morning, for example, to wish them a happy work week, including any changes that will take place.

  • Mark a post as important so you can properly check that everyone has read it. Do not do this for every post, but just for posts that you want everyone to read. This is because an important message is displayed on the top of the timeline until an employee marks it as “Read” themselves.

  • Send a weekly organization message including a video with highlights from the previous or upcoming week.

  • Celebrate employee achievements: Share success stories or recognize outstanding performances to inspire others.

  • Employee spotlights: Feature individual employees and their contributions to the company or community.

  • Company culture highlights: Share photos, videos, or stories that showcase your company's unique culture and values.

  • Industry news and trends: Share relevant news articles or insights to keep employees informed about the latest happenings in their industry.

  • Team-building activities: Promote team-building exercises, events, or challenges that encourage collaboration and foster stronger bonds among employees.

  • Fun facts or trivia: Share interesting facts or trivia about the company, its products, or the industry to engage employees and spark conversations.

  • Employee testimonials: Share testimonials from employees about their positive experiences working at the company.

  • Employee-generated content: Encourage employees to share their own content, such as photos, videos, or testimonials, and feature them on the platform.

  • Employee wellness tips: Share tips and resources for maintaining physical and mental well-being, such as exercise routines, mindfulness practices, or healthy recipes.

  • Inspirational quotes: Post motivational quotes or messages to uplift and inspire employees.

  • Team success stories: Highlight team achievements and milestones to foster a sense of pride and unity.

  • Expert interviews: Conduct interviews with industry experts or thought leaders and share their insights with employees.

  • Learning resources: Share educational content like webinars, online courses, or ebooks that can help employees enhance their skills or knowledge.

  • Employee contests or challenges: Organize fun contests or challenges for employees, such as photo contests or caption competitions, with prizes for winners.

  • Employee-generated ideas: Encourage employees to share their ideas for improving processes, products, or services, and acknowledge their contributions.

  • Company updates and announcements: Share important company news, such as product launches, new partnerships, or upcoming events.

  • Volunteer opportunities: Promote volunteering initiatives or charity events in which employees can participate and make a positive impact.

  • Employee testimonials: Share testimonials from clients or customers about their positive experiences with the company's products or services.

  • Behind-the-scenes glimpses: Offer a sneak peek into behind-the-scenes activities, like product development or event preparations, to create excitement and curiosity.

  • Fun memes or GIFs: Lighten the mood and inject some humor by sharing relevant memes or GIFs that employees can relate to.
