The Oneteam platform of an organization, with its own dashboard, consists of communities (usually locations/branches). These communities can contain specific groups (community groups). There are also organization groups, which are groups of employees regardless of which community they are in. This is how these two sorts of groups are organized:

It is important to know that communities and functions are automatically created in Oneteam when working with a link with an external system or when employees are uploaded through a CSV import.

Once the communities and functions have been created, other groups can be added to offer specific information in the right group within the platform. This means that specific groups are created that match the employees on the basis of function, community, language or name. Below is an illustration of what it can look like for a community;

  1. Communities generally correspond to the physical locations of the organization. As an organization administrator, you can switch within a community to another community by clicking on the location in the top left (in this case 'Rotterdam').

  2. Community groups are groups within the community (generally strictly per location), usually based on function. An employee will only see messages within a group if he or she is a member of this group, in addition to messages in organization groups.

  3. Organization groups give you the opportunity to communicate across all of the communities. For example, all company managers can sit together in an organization group, but there can also be an organization group for, for example, 'general news'. In an organization group you can also determine who can or cannot post messages and whether people can respond.
