Organization Messages

In this article we explain what organization messages are and how to create them.

Written by Guido Schmitz

You can post a message on behalf of your organization. This is called an 'organization message'. This message can be sent to everyone within the organization or to specific communities and/or roles, languages, and names. An organization message is always sent under the name of your organization (including logo) and not under the name of the sender.

Watch the video below for a brief explanation of organization messages:

Sending an Organization Message

  1. In the organization dashboard, go to 'Communication' β†’ 'Messages' β†’ 'Create Message'.

  2. Select the target audience for the message.

  3. Choose whether to enable or disable employee replies.

  4. Compose the content of your message (in addition to text, you can also add a poll, photo/video, Unsplash photo, and/or document).

  5. (Optional) Apply different formatting options such as bold, italic, etc.

  6. Mark the message as important if you want to ensure it is read by everyone. This message will remain pinned at the top of the timeline for the selected recipients until they have clicked the button in the app.

  7. Send the message, you can also schedule it to be sent at a later time.

An organization message will always appear under 'Company Update'. All organization messages are collected here, so employees can always easily find such messages. By default, Oneteam opens on both web and mobile on 'My Timeline', where you see all messages you are part of.

The image above shows where you can find this group within the community.

After sending, you can find the statistics for your organization message under 'Communication' β†’ 'Organization Messages', as shown in the example below. Here you will find the reach, how many employees have seen the message (clicked read), and how many reactions the organization message has received.

Other forms of communication

Of course, there are other forms of communication, such as the chat feature, group messages, and timeline messages. Click the button below to learn more about the other forms of communication.
