Until now, an anonymous form was always completely anonymous. As an organisation admin, you can now turn on an option that lets the respondent decide whether the submission stays anonymous or is submitted with their name and profile. This is useful when some employees prefer to be recognisable, for example because it allows you to follow up on their report or idea.
The default setting remains anonymous. If you don’t turn the option on, nothing changes for your form or your employees.
How do you set up the choice?
In the organisation dashboard, go to Forms and open the form.
Next to Content, click Settings.
Make sure the form is set to anonymous.
Turn on the option that lets respondents choose whether to stay anonymous or submit with their name and profile.
Save the form as a draft or publish it right away.
What does this mean for the respondent?
When filling in the form, the employee chooses between two options:
Anonymous: the submission stays anonymous. Name and profile are not visible. This is the default choice.
With name and profile: the submission is identifiable. You and any moderators can see who filled in the form.
Existing anonymous forms
Existing anonymous forms remain completely anonymous until you turn the option on. You don’t need to change anything to keep your employees’ responses anonymous.
Viewing submissions
Once you have turned the option on, the list of submissions shows anonymous and identifiable submissions side by side. This gives you all responses in one place, while it stays clear which submissions are anonymous.
Filtering by community and function group
Filters, including community and function group, are available again for forms with this option. They only apply to submissions where the respondent has shared their identity. Anonymous submissions stay anonymous and fall outside these filters.
Keep this in mind when you compare results per community or function group: you will only see the identifiable submissions.
