High-Fives are a perfect way for employees and managers to recognize each other. Recognition strengthens company culture, increases engagement, and makes appreciation visible across the organization.
Step 1: Set up company values
To make High-Fives more meaningful, you first need to configure your organization’s values in the dashboard.
How to add company values:
Go to the Organization Dashboard.
Navigate to Settings > General > Company values.
Add your core values (e.g. teamwork, customer focus, innovation, leadership).
Save the changes.
✅ Once saved, these values will be available in the High-Five feature for all employees. See the article, high-five for employees
Step 2: Communicate to your organization
After setting up values, explain to employees how they can use High-Fives:
Go to the Colleagues tab in the app or webapp.
Select a colleague, open their profile, and click High five.
Write a short recognition message.
Optionally link one or more company values.
Choose whether to share the High-Five on a timeline (visible only in groups both colleagues are part of).
What does the receiver see?
A notification of the High-Five.
If shared, the High-Five will also appear on the group timeline.
Currently, High-Fives are visible only via notifications and timelines (no separate overview page yet).
Best practices for admins
Keep values simple: choose 3–6 clear, recognizable values.
Encourage use: ask managers to give High-Fives regularly and link them to values.
Promote visibility: suggest sharing on timelines to increase team-wide recognition.
Monitor adoption: check timeline activity to see how often High-Fives are being used.
